Welcome to Roosevelt School where scholarship and service merge!

Welcome to Roosevelt

The Principal's Corner

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The days are getting longer and the snow is finally melting, although somehow I’m not too trusting of the weather!  It has indeed been a challenging winter season, but spring is coming and with it some very exciting things here at Roosevelt School.

Thank you for your interest in the Roosevelt School.  Feel free to contact me via phone or e-mail with any questions, concerns or comments.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Wallinger
Principal

Students Give "Paint Job" to Roosevelt School
The fifth grade artists have been busy at work painting murals in the Roosevelt School Gymnasium and Cafeteria.  Each of the fifth grade classes will have an opportunity to paint a part of the mural being completed there. In art the students have been learning about sustaining the environment and what they can do to create a positive message for the community about their efforts to go green.

Recycling Rangers: Turning Knowledge into Positive Actions!

Roosevelt students are turning their knowledge into positive actions. After learning about environmental issues and how we can live sustainably, our 5th graders have taken a step forward in making a difference. Our "Recycling Rangers" collect recyclables (paper, plastic, and aluminum) each day with the hope to sustain our earth for future generations.
All proceeds from our can/bottle drive will help fun "Roosevelt Roots"- our collaborative school garden.
Make a difference- Recycle!

Roosevelt Keeps Donating!
Each month a class is chosen to collect canned goods to bring to the food pantry. This month: Ms. Giorgio's class donated and learned about the impact of their donations. A special thanks to the Ossining Food Pantry for teaching our students about the gift of giving!

Roosevelt School Newsletter
Each month students from each class are selected to write about all of the wonderful happenings in our school. This month: Ms. Forehand, and Ms. Baio and Ms. Hudsons' classes wrote the newsletter. Keep posted for your child's class next!
